Alzheimer's Day Care Resource Center
The Jovenes De Antaño Adult Day Care Center has been in operation since June of
1989. It is a community-based, long-term care program with the primary goal of
providing healthy and protective day care for people with moderate to severe
memory impairment. This program also provides educational training and a lending
library for family caregivers and the general community.
Program Goals and Objectives
• To provide experiences and activities that promote maximum functioning
• To provide experiences and activities that prevent or delay deterioration
• To provide activities that achieve specific goals of individual treatment
• To plan and schedule these activities in a manner that makes the most
effective use of staff, space, and other program resources
• To arrange safe transportation to and from the program that meets each
client's need
• To provide ample time for caregivers to rest
• To provide day care services at a reasonable cost
• To promote community awareness of Alzheimer's Disease and the services
available
